Consumer Protection Act, & unfair trade practices

Consumer Protection Act, 1986 provides the formation of :
1 Consumer Protection Council
1.1 The Central Consumer Protection Council
1.2 State Arif Protection Council
2 Consumer Disputes Redressal Agencies
Thus this Act does not prevent manufacturers, or sellers from doing Unfair Trade practices and neither Central Govt. nor the State Govt. are taking cognizance of such fraudulent attitude. All the more, because of the new trend of Net purchases, the Net traders have become unapproachable to buyers for any questioning about their products and get redressal. There must be a Law to punish the manufacturers and Traders who practice unfair Trade practices and this this the urgent need of the present time. Will Mr.Modi Government do this job and bale out the Consumers of this country from economically butchering act of Traders and Manufacturers. more

Moreover the new Act comes with all new chapter on product liability fixing the manufacturers component suppliers and even retailers for product or service deficiency. more
I have a case won against ONIDA TV for cheating in Spare board . consumer court tiruchi gave verdict and ONIDA simply ignored and looser is me and one year torture .so what is the point in having chapters and sections . Karnataka government never obeyed Supreme court verdict only people an poor citizens of INDIA has to live with all these cheats and Government is a Part with these companies more
any amount of chapters addition cant help because they have their terms with 'we have the full right to cheat the consumer ' in their product literature . and challenge any consumer court verdict or Indian supreme court verdict with one line ' 'jurisdiction for any thing is out side INDIA' more
I request you to go thru Section 2 (r) of the CP Act which defines in detail Unfair TraDe Practices which courts are to take cognizance of while complaints come before it for adjudication. Compensation and penalty are awarded taking these factors into consideration. Yes.Consumer fora do not have suo motu powers to proceed against any businesses. Someone has to fime a complaint. It can be a consumer, State or Centre or a VCO or a HUF or cooperative. To fill this gap the new Act now in the Parliament is providing for setting up an executive agency with an investigation wing with suo motu powers to deal with complaints. more
We need much more strict actions and easier methods to lodge a complaint. My AOC LED TV bought from Reliance store has gone defective twice since NOV14. First time it took about 30 days to get it replaced even after daily followup and now its defective since last 14 days and no date for it replacement. 2. There should also some method to ban the cheap products of poor quality or number of complaints should be displayed with response time before a product is allowed to be sold at mega / super stores/ malls / online. 3. There should be option for refund or compensation if a product is proved to be bad design or continued poor quality like AOC TV. more
so you know that some trading instruments are fraudulent. They why to buy . Modiji has more business to do than to concentrate on such issues more
It is very daring statement. There are N Number of verdicts clearly mentioning who are and who are NOT. Applicable to the facts and circumstances of each case. more
