Conditions mistaken for Heart Attack

You may not know is that there are many conditions that are often mistaken for a heart attack. While acidity is one of the health problems that are confused with a heart attack, pain radiating in the chest or the left side of the body can also be due to these 5 health problems.’

Frozen shoulder: One of the most common conditions mistaken for a heart attack is frozen shoulder. You might experience excruciating pain and stiffness of the shoulder that slowly damages the shoulder ligaments, limiting the movement. While medications and surgery can help you to treat the condition, there are some home remedies that you should try for effective relief.

Cervical spondylosis: As the pain gradually radiates in the left arm, you may confuse it for a heart attack. Caused due to an inflammation in the joint of the neck, you might also experience numbness or weakness in the left arm or hand. Although you have to live with the condition for the rest of your life, home remedies, exercises and yoga play a key role in managing cervical spondylosis.

Osteochondritis: It is the inflammation of ribs (where the muscles and tendons attach to the joints) resulting in a shooting pain in the chest region. And this is the reason it is often thought of as a heart attack. However, depending upon the severity of the condition and the extent of inflammation, your doctor will decide the treatment.

Indigestion and vomiting: Often acidity and heartburn are mistaken for a heart attack, because the symptoms are heartburn, nausea coupled with pain and discomfort in the stomach. With home remedies, exercising and healthy eating, you can beat indigestion and vomiting.

Indigestion with sweating: If you are suffering from diabetes, your blood sugar levels might fall, leading to excessive sweating. This, when coupled with indigestion is usually mistaken for a heart attack. The only way to fight this is to control your blood sugar levels and eat healthy to prevent indigestion. If the condition becomes worse, you must visit your doctor without fail! more
