Mr.S.K.Sinha's example about Customer due diligence do not suit to this situation. His example I am repeating here " If some one thought that he will get a Samsung phone for Rs 700, it is his her fault. ". In this sentense " some one " is meant by Mr.Sinha is " Customer ". As there is no other option remains for procurement, HE (Customer) has to purchase the required goods from Seller on the cost which Seller demands. I again want to repeat here that Samsung phone example do not suit to the situation. Mr.Sinha have to take back these words. more
It is advisable to purchase only from reputed e-commerce firms. However, government has to provide strict legislation to arrest the miscreants. more
I am really happy and concerned that many persons have responded. We are in the process of formally lodging complaint with economic crime cell of Police .We will also post names of such companies in this platform for public awareness As about a regulatory regime for e -commerce this is being considered now in the Department of Consumer Affairs and we may soon hear about it in public domain. I would request Mr Sushil Bhatia to post all details to schkrmp.iipa@gmail.com on holiday offer complaint to enable us to look into it more
Sir, there is something called "buyer beware".(caveat emptor). Some due diligence is expected from customers also. If some one thought that he will get a Samsung phone for Rs 700, it is his her fault. Admittedly, e platform is not much regulated so far, but to expect that regulation will set everything right is too simplistic to believe. Insurance is highly regulated by IRDAI. Still complains about wrong selling are aplenty. In fact I don't call them wrong selling. These are examples of wrong buying. People purchased believing that their money will grow like money plant. In some cases it really grew. They are not complaining of wrong selling. But cases where returns were not as expected by customer( or assured by advisor) are complaining of wrong selling. RBI is a regulator still we find Cheat fund schemes thriving, still we find money going down the drain in smaller cooperative banks. Is IRDAI/RBI etc only responsible and customer has no responsibility? I read somewhere, someone said "the market must have some gullible buyers, otherwise, to whom shall I sell my broken ware?" Customer has to be careful, after all it is his money. Anyway, now we know at least these 3 E sellers who should be avoided. There might be 300 more such sellers. Some of us would be defrauded by them before we learn the lesson. This is a costly way of learning. Best is precaution. There is no free lunch. No offence, please. more
I saw the problems reportd. Reading it by itself is education. But how were the complaints resolved ? more
