CLEAN INDIA

The much hyped Clean India is only in news, in reality if one attempts to give shape to the concept then he would feel much perturbed as the officials, police and other law enforcement officials wink at the civic atrocities taking place under their nose. To cite an instance in Chennai(106--Arumbakkam--EVR Road) where the entire river bed a stretch of 100 metres from the bank being dumped with debris to make it a kutcha road to facilitate the parking of vehicles and other sundry shops in collusion with officials by narrowing down the breadth of the river bank. In case of flood there will be heavy chaos and casualty to both people and property, eventually none can do any damage control exercise. I brought to the notice of all concerned but to this date the atrocity goes unabated in the neighbouring area. Ironically state Green Tribunal is located there. Miscreants are bold as they have the blessings of officials and politicians and the referenced place goes for a few lakhs as the people talk in hushed voice. If this highlight helps to put an end to the atrocity then there will be some meaning in what we do! more
