Charging above MRP
It unethical to charge more than MRP. Legal Metrology Department should take cognisance & initiate strict action against anyone doing such malpractice taking advantage of shortages. Jaago. more

Govt should establish a complaint email id for such cases and take up investigation immediately. Threat of quick action, will curb the menace. more

Profiterring is due to short supply of materials over the demand. Unless a bill is issued above MRP, matter can not be taken seriously. more

MRP& MSP never satisfy buyer/ seller needs. They should be inclusive of GST at point of sale. more

Forget about shortages. Recently I had been to Tamil Nadu where I found all the shop keepers are charging more than MRP for the pouched branded milk. The 1/2 litter pouch with Rs 21 as MRP is sold for Rs 25. A direct additional profit of Rs 8 per liter milk. No one is questioning. This is wrong more

It is a common practice in all Airports and on airlines to charge abnormally high prices . Just for example a can of KF beer which has Rs.120 as MRP marked on it is being sold at Rs599 at Bangalore airport. Reasons given are the high rentals at airports . This is just one example. Water is charged 3 to 5 times of MRP. Similarly is the case with picture halls in Malls. Can somebody suggest the right authority with whom we can lodge complaints on such issues ? more
