cancellation of air tickets

We spent about Rs.32k+ for booking air tickets for 4 passengers using makemytrip. This includes an insurance amount of Rs.1,196. But when we cancelled due to cornovirus scare, they processed meager amount of Rs.1,580. We believe the insurance covers ticket cancellation also. Their helplines, chat bot, email systems are all automated, we are unable to air our grievances. more

on june 1st - Indian govt has announced that Air india can refund the full cost if passenger wish to cancel for the tickets booked for April Journey . Despite repeated emails to Air India office Singapore does not respond properly. Can some one advise which government representative , I should notify more
You must have received a Copy of the Insurance Policy alongwith the Tickets - please review the Policy and its T&C's and then make a Claim under the Policy to the Insurer. Make My Trip is only selling the Policy, as an Agent, it will not handle the Claims under the Policy. All the best ... more
Keep the evidence and go to consumer courts after the crisis is over more
#Makemytrip again.... I have lost money with them and then I decided not go with them anymore. They are competent and do not care for the passengers. Their customer service do not taught to understand the urgency or seriousness. more
I also booked a ticket for 2 pax to travel to Europe in the last week of May-2020 through MMTPIL but due to its deficient software, incomplete name of mine was picked-up by said software though my full and complete name does appear on my MMT profile on its website, which led and forced me to cancel the ticket for one pax and re-book another ticket. Its more than a month, I am still to get refund amounting to about 50000/-. Yes, MMT has not provided any email id on its website, chat doesn’t work, calls made are replied with highly vague and standard answers with NO results. Friends, I have sent a detailed email with 16 different attachments of screenshot of call details, incomplete chat, MMT profile showing complete name, incomplete name on the ticket etc. on compliance@go-mmt.com, the email Id of its Legal and Secretarial department, which was also not responded but my follow-up mail with direct warning to escalate the matter before Consumer Court with yet another attachment about my winning a case at Consumer Court in another case forced it to acknowledge by a reply mail. Friends, you and any other victimised consumers / customers must write to MMTIPL through this email to force it to mend its working and respecting the Consumers / Customers. more
