Buy 2 Get 2 or 3

These days most of the apparel stores display such messages boldly on their shopping windows as if the whole store is at the disposal of the consumer. One may even get SMSs regarding this. But when you go to the store you find it is just a limited and old items from which to choose. This is nothing but misleading the consumer with such glittery offers. In my opinion these fall under UTP (Unfair Trade Practice). GOI or the Department of Consumer Affairs should take strict action against such Brands who are practicing this and it is everywhere and almost all brands. Let us join hands to curb such practices. more

Very true Every shops have huge unsold, old stock held with large amount blocked, especially due to covid, as all non essential shopes closed for more then 12-15 months. For the shopes survival, they have to make all marketing strategies and THE CONCEPT OF": BUY ONE AND TAKE ONE FREE, is one among them. A shoe keeper to sell his products either at loss or at profit, and no government interference acceptable, as government not interested in any activities, as long as a shopkeeper remit all government dues as per documents. more
I have learnt that Govt of India has provided jago grahak jago helpline number which is quite successful to tackle such cases more
Yes. Such deceiving Advertisements must be Punished severely. more
Its true by making such offers the traders mislead the consumers, which is nothing but an Unfair Trade Practice and the concerned authorities should look into such matters and take punitive action against those found guilty of such unfair practices. But its a simple matter to understand that the traders are in their activities to earn but not to distribute their belongings to the customers. If they offer 5 against a purchase of 2 items, it's simple to understand that the offer is to lure and attract the customers. Instead, we cheaply become their preys out of greed to grab the free items! We must guard our interests ourselves. more
Many reputed consumers brands display "buy 2 and get one or two free". It is a marketing gimmics and the young generation girls and boys are crazy for these offers. more
