Business Planning for startups
Hi All,
How important you think a well thought business plan is to an entrepreneur before launching his/her product. Recently I have read and seen many articles and videos that says mostly technically strong entrepreneurs tend to ignore the business side of planning such as how to market their product, how to get finance from investors and bankers?
However I do understand very well that in business and in life not everything goes according to most accurately well chalked out plan, but still to a young entrepreneur in India how business consultancies and start-up planners can help? more

Homework can be of two types: 1) Focus is only on getting funding 2) Focus is on making startup a sucess. Net Net I feel, if startup can ensure steady cashflow then everything else follows :) more

I fully agree with mrs Sahai. An enterpenaur should do ful Home work in consultation with different specialised professionals.This will mitigate lot of hardships. R K Jain more

Indian economy is very much a socialist economy where handful of corporation run everything and they control policy making which favors them than entrepreneurs. Look at the privatization of telephone company licensing, Internet licensing and tell me any entrepreneur got piece of this national asset. All big companies with money wrote the rules and got licenses and than sold to other multi nationals for profit. Why Reliance, Tata has to be in every business from oil, telecom, software, retail, fashion, super markets. They have the Capitol and political power to get in and deny entrepreneur opportunities. India should have antitrust laws like US. All Europe has the same problem as well Asia. Why Yahoo, FB, Google and host of others start up prosper in US. And why Indians can't think of new disruptive products. more
