Beware of Bank Account Hackers on the name of the Tax

An important announcement for all of those who have filed their Income Tax return and have received an e-mail stating that there has been an error in calculating your tax and a refund has to be issued, please ignore it.
It is circulated by hackers. Once you click on the link it will direct you to a net banking login page and once you login into it, your bank account will be hacked.

Please ignore such emails. Income tax department will send an intimation about refunds/ payable through a proper notice.

If you check the sender's address it would appear as:

donotreply@incometaxindiafilling.gov.in
& not as genuine:
donotreply@incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

Note the *e* is missing from *efiling* & *filing* is spelt as *filling*.

Please widely circulate this message so that nobody falls pray to hackers.

It is true and timely as many of us filing returns during this period. I am requesting Income Tax Dept or GoI to provide a security system that cannot provide scope for hackers to get citizens details about filing of returns etc. As shown in example it is very difficult to identify and distinguish hackers mail and get trapped. more

It is very common to see from every finance service providers- Banks, insurance, MF's etc besides Job rackateers, other Govt. services and Now IT refunds. For everything layman public only need to be cautious, how? It is high time the respective company own such fake identity created by fraudsters. Law should come to that effect. more
