ACTION ON STRAY DOGS

If one or many dogs have attacked you and is biting you what will be your action...is supreme court going to save you...or ..you will show the act to dogs squad and ask them not to bite you.
I don't want to comment on Hon'ble supreme court rulings but I ask you what will you do ?
'Ready to Bite' and 'can/will bite' are same, and we must have full rights to save ourselves from any type of 'present' or 'future' risk.
If we are planning to save our childern from the risk involved by stray dogs , it is not against law.
Moreover the supreme Court ruling is for MCD and not for you or society as a whole. If MCD is helpless we are not. The weapons not available to MCD workers are available to the society.Collective action by citizens to face such cruel happenings are not banned by supreme Court.
Am I right...go ahead...

against law more

I agree. We could use the titles you suggest. Other alternatives could be "Eliminate stray dogs for Swachh Bharat", "Remove stray dogs for a safe India" " Save our children from Stray Dogs". more
Ok, Irvinder, let us make a beginning with opening a page on Facebook. What do you suggest we call it - Protect us from stray dogs or Protect our children and senior citizens from stray dogs or .....any suggestions ? we open this to everyone to give their titles so that we open a page on Facebook and link it to twitter and linked and start by this deepawali i.e. Thursday. more
One could file a petition for vacation of the stay, on the Mumbai High Court judgement which permits killing of stray dogs. For this you will have to ask a lawyer. However the probability of success is low as some of the best lawyers have been engaged by the stray dog loving extremists. They are able to get the matter delayed indefinitely in the Supreme Court. Starting a facebook page or creating a mass campaign by raising the issue on all fora , holding peaceful dharnas protests and meeting MPs would be more useful as just a few hundred thousand stray dog loving extremists are holding the rest of the country to ransom. Each one of us should try to raise the issue everywhere and create enough mass mobilisation for the politicians to get interested and withdraw the ABCD rules more
Is there any way we can propel the supreme court to at least give a stay till they decide. Can we start a group on the face book and as a part of the swatch India Abiyaan also known as say "Protect our senior citizens & children from stray dogs". Possible ? more
I think there is an appeal pending in the Supreme Court for nine years against the decision of the Bombay High Court in "People for Elimination of Strays vs State of Goa" where the Bombay High Court had permitted the killing of stray dogs. The Supreme Court has given a stay on the Honourable Mumbai High Court Order and is not giving a final decision. The main issue is the Animal Birth Control Dog Rules which give total protection to stray dogs. All we can do is wait for the Supreme Court to finally decide the matter or campaign for the withdrawal of these rules more
