7 SMALL BUDGET HEALTH TIPS

7 SMALL BUDGET HEALTH TIPS
Seven easy ways to boost your well-being with goodies that cost no more than Rs 10

BALL OF KITCHEN STRING:
To improve posture & help back pain
Every morning, stand tall on your toes and pull your tummy muscles, stretch against a wall in as far as you can. Now, release them by half. Tie the string/belt around your middle , under your clothes and keep it there all day. It acts a constant reminder to engage your core muscles, flattening stomach muscles, improving posture and helping you beat back pain.
TWO EGGS: To feel full until lunch
Studies show that having eggs for breakfast reduces calorie consumption throughout the day by up to 18 per cent. That's because they make you feel full for longer, cutting the desire to eat more, say nutritionists. Try boiled, poached or scrambled eggs with a slice of wholegrain toast.
MINT LEAVES (PUDINA): To beat the bloat
Herbalists swear by mint for its anti-inflammatory effect on the gut, aiding better digestion and reducing bloat. It also cleanses the mouth, zapping the nasty taste and furry tongue that often comes with it. Infuse some leaves in boiling water for a few minutes.
SUGAR-FREE CHEWING GUM:
To ease heartburn and improve concentration
Scientists say the saliva stimulated by chewing gum seems to neutralize digestive acid and help force fluids back to the stomach. The study, published in the Journal of Dental Research, asked volunteers to chew sugar-free gum for 30 minutes after heartburn-inducing meals. Chewing gum can help you stay focused for longer on tasks that require continuous monitoring. This is the finding of new research by Kate Morgan and colleagues from Cardiff University published in the British Journal of Psychology today, 8 March 2013
TENNIS BALL: To ease sciatica
Tennis balls, plastic spiky balls used for tumble dryers, or even a potato, can be used for massaging tight buttocks and relieving the muscular pain of sciatica. Either sit on one or stand against a wall and place it against the affected area. By pressing into the muscle, the ball provides a pivot over which the muscles stretch. This digging in relieves muscular tension. Repeat several times a day for maximum relief.
CUP OF EPSOM SALTS IN BATH WATER: To soothe aching muscles & flatten stomach
The high magnesium content of Epsom salts means that they аre great for soothing sore, tired muscles and are popular with stars before red carpet events. Add one or two handfuls to a bath to draw out toxins and flatten your tummy.
HANDFUL OF ALMONDS:To lower cholesterol
Unsalted nuts, like almonds, are high in protein and good monosaturated fats. Compared
with other nuts, almonds contain the highest levels of six key nutrients , fibre, magnesium, protein, potassium, copper and vitamin E. more

Sorry. Apologizes for the wrong Spelling. It should read "Mr. Grewal" and NOT "Greawl" more
Mr Greawl. I have answered your question by putting in a Resource above. Thanks and Regards. Raja more
I agree with Mr G.S Grewal, diets are tailor made. Everybody has different body type and composition. Therefore some things benefit to one and some may be equally harmful to others. Therefore some articles can be misleading Mr Raja Chandra. My Apologies for this but after studying in the field of food science, have learnt that all things are not for everybody. more
Rajaji ,all your posts are very enlightening.......thanks n hats off. Please continue to guide us . more
Raja Ji a well balanced input, away form the TALL CLAIMS inputs that I have been reading, in fact I was quite put off with those n had stopped accessing this site, in my humble input this site shd have NO personal professional inputs ONLY ref to established research work or a personal experience to an established norm, saying a particular diet can CURE a disease will be misleading as diets are to be TAILOR MADE, YES saying that diet is important scientific fact bit not a particular diet !!!Pl take this input in the right spirit. more
