I live in Gotri area of Vadodara. I have following observations and suggestions:
1. I have found PCR van # 23 and 26 always on the roll or in the area indicating that police will be on the scene promptly if something was to happen. An example of the same was during a theft in Narayan Garden few months back and the two Vans were on the spot in less than 5 minutes at 3 am in the morning.
2. Traffic control is either not there or focused in wrong direction.
3. Traffic lights are switched off with a perception that traffic light in certain hours. Actually, lights should work 24 hours if citizens are to develop a sense of discipline.
4. More junctions should have traffic lights and traffic policemen should be on bikes to chase any offenders. Standing on the junction and waving hand for the traffic to go does not serve any purpose except exercise of policemen or women hands.
5. Wrong side driving and not respecting pedestrian crossings is every day affair. No effort is visible to stop this by traffic police.
