NHAI

Being from south, and not having seen good roads for a long time, I am happy.

Whenever I visit down south near my native place around Tirunelveli, and ask the locals/drivers about how they see the new roads, without even knowing who started all this they simply refer to "one Atalji".

What else I need?

Same time, I feel like the cursing the English channels from north, who were condemning the then roads minister as if he is not doing anything! For them progress in north is progress of India, while even a small progress down south is not even seen, leave alone saying India is developing!

That was India then!
Now it is definitely changing at least in the open minded south

Without this, we could not have come this far. Take care of the department's growth well.

NH-1 (now NH-44) right from Delhi-Singhu Border entering into Sonepat District in North Haryana is totally DARK without any street lighting even though this international Highway is 25x7 (more than 24x7) operational and almost every day fatal accidents are on the front page of most local newspapers as NHAI has not planned for merging of local traffic from villages at various T-points so also no provision for pedestria crossing this 6-lane National Highway with 90 km/hr legal speed ???

The whole 500Kms of national highway in Kerala is currently carrying traffic much beyond its capacity. Urgent attention to be needed here
