I am Living in prime locality where the police are failed to curb the wrong parking of car, we feel difficult to remove car from our house, when we requested police to put board for no parking for 4 wheeler still it is being painted, this is almost 4 to 5 months old, near our house a chat centre. The MCC has introduced footpath vendor will be punished, to our surprise the mobile anti footpath vendor van will come and take money from them and go this is our fate. The place where i live is N S Road, Just Opposite to Vastram Showroom

Mysore Police feel comfortable in nabbing drivers with NO HELMET, HIGH BEAM & NO SEAT BELT cases so far FAILING ABSOLUTELY on the cases of MOBILE PHONE USAGE & OBJECTIONABLE carrying of passengers beyond defined seating capacity !
IRONY of the issue is, driver of two wheelers are being cautioned & penalised for Compulsory Helmets as Safety Measures as per Motor Vehicle Act where as the children who are made to sit on fuel tanks of bikes & make them stand on foot board of scooters are FIRST VICTIMS incase of Fall or Accident.
There is NOT EVEN A SINGLE INCIDENCE wherein Police Enforced STOPPAGE of FRONT LOADING of Children on Two Wheeler's NOR Stoppage of Multiple pillion riders - though the drivers can be BOOKED for any injury for children on such cases as ATTEMPT TO MURDER !!!
Further, there are RAMPANT FREE LEFT TURN right infront of Police Station (example - VV Puram towards Temple Road & Gokulam Road) wherein the good old writing of 'NO FREE LEFT TURN' is made INVISIBLE.
Why the Commissioner of Police delaying to exercise his authority to STOP these WRONG DOINGS ???

I agree with R Sukumar, let me share my experience, once I was coming back from visiting a doctor with my wife and daughters, near ISSH/RIE somebody avoided horn and light and crossed road in front of me and we fell down from bike, there were amazing response from police vehicle over there as I am from outside Karnataka.

Mysore city police mainly focus only on helmetless riders & seatbeltless drivers. This helps only the govt. treasury to fillup. The serious offences like signal jumping, which pose danger to fellow road users are not attended by the police. This type of traffic violations have become common in front of the policemen, who are very busy with less serious violations, which will harm only the violator. Most of the violations are happening in front of the police station circles, like central post office, Nazarbad, Gokulam temple, Sawday road circle. Driving or riding with mobile phone on one hand are not penalised. The court orders in this regard stand only on the papers.
Mysore police should concentrate more on serious traffic violations like signal jumping, mobile phone riding or driving, high decibel honking and so on.

the traffic checking is only in the main roads and that many gets to know and avoid these roads when checking is going on. Many of the traffic lights do not function and there is nobody to man such junctions, even if they are there the traffic cops/home guards they are busy with their mobile phones, why blame the cops only the people themselves are to be blamed, they are always looking to break the traffic rules and less about the pedestrians the better, gay walking is rampant and are least bothered.
