Following few things are of immense important to keep their morale and boost it up.
1. Good pay package - Monthly - earning of A small TV serial actor is roughly between 30 lakhs to 2 crores, what are we paying to our police who do not have any opportunity to socialize, during all festivals their leaves are cancelled, they are on duty 24 X 7, they cannot participate in their family festivals, apart form sacrificing all these they face the corruption charges and people for whom they sacrifice all these do not give them due respect which they deserve;
2. Authority with Responsibility - Quite often it was noted, particularly in noted areas where police personnel's face big challenge enforcing law and order and some they are manhandled and abused; Give them authority and gadgets to enforce law with evidences collected on the spot with the gadgets provided to them ensuring no interference;
3. State of the art Technology - Equip the ground force, which is vital for creating safe environment and presence of law, with latest arms, gadgets, vehicles, etc. so that they can perform their duty well and have evidences collected on the spot, so that late criminal do not have window to escape.
4. Responsibility & Accountability - for sure with all above given, KPI needs to be imposed from ground level to top level, to keep track on performance which will lead to responsible and accountable force, which comes along with sever penal action for flouting.
5. Social Status - This is require as much as they police and some time guard the safety of the public including all general public, special protection to those mentioned in item 1 above, etc. etc. Our Police force deserves the Status.
I will recommend to implement all these from the ground level staff and then proceed to top level. As top level is already in creamy layer.

Not that secure

The Country ought to be Proud of our Mumbai Police Force. Their Sense of duty has to be appreciated. We the Lions Clubs International have been holding Health Check up Camps for them and we find that though there are Government Hospitals for them, they are not able to go to nearest Government hospital as they are having 12 hours duty and when they think of going some emergency appears and they have to sacrifice their own health to attend to the duty.

MUMBAI POLICE IS EXCELLENT AT TIMES DIFFERS FROM PERSON TO PERSON OR ISSUE BASE.LOT OF IMPROVEMENT BUT TET SCOPE FOR BETTERS.
