There is a great scope of improvement and increasing efficiency and vigilance. Stray animals are serious threats to citizens and society of civilians

I agree with above comments as even we are suffering from the menace of barking in our area and are unable to sleep..

I am staying Datta Mandir Road, Malad east in our society are in great trouble from stray dogs. No one can enter in our society we members also in big terror, no carrier service, gas service, newspaper vendor no one can enter. We are in a big problem if we enter in midnight in society. a compound is always in full shit, most of the time they are in a fight. If one started to bark all 8 starts to bark. Which dept of BMC should I contact?

In Mumbai, It is only better than smaller cities but that is no plus point. Over all it is pathetic.
The problem is definitely been compounded by the animal rights activists because now the municipal corporation gets an excuse for not being able to control these animals.
They not only litter the roads, block the roads, litter footpaths, making them un-walkable and additionally the dogs are a major source of injuries and health hazard.

No where in the world stray animals are allowed to loiter on roads. In Mahim, Mori road, dogs are having rabbies n nobody cares to tkae them away . Dogs bite, barking in nights , dogs sitting on roads is common problem faced by us. Can v get any relief from this post. Or just information.
