Kolkata Terminal (KOAA)

The Kolkata Station is clean and well maintained. Public address is clear and audible. Except on platform number 1, passenger amenities on other platforms are almost nil. There are no fans over the sitting benches except on platform no. 1.

The approach to Kolkata Railway Station is awfully bad. Signages are absent, local people lead the motorist to wrong path, and the police catches the motorists. Heavy vehicles are lined up on the approach road from Ultadanga. The condition of the road is bad. The traffic congestion makes the life of the driver of the vehicle and the passengers either catching the train or returning to their residences, miserable.

Station should be more clean, proper sitting arrangement, lighting arrangements & more toilets required in all platforms. More security arrangement is required.

Insufficient connecting Taxi/Bus available.Not convenient for travellers. If you reach after evening you will be looted to get Taxi to come out to sealdah/howrah. Platforms are clean compare to sealdah and howrah due to less passengers rush.
