Public roads are WAYS of ECONOMIC and SOCIAL activities !Better the road better are the movements !WILLS ARE GENERATED MORE BY GOOD ROADS! Maintainace of all roads are not MODERNISED!
particularly in kolkata or any big town roads are used to spread networks of waterpipes of all kinds/sewerage pipes and even telephone/electric distributions - which need excavations ANY TIME !PITY IS AFTER THOSE SERVICES ARE RESTORED DIGGING
ROADS THOSE AREE NOT REPAIRED TO ALLOW SMOOTH MOVEMENTS OF VEHICLES !WHEREBY ACCIDENTS TAKE PLACE - TO AVOID ACCIDENTS JAMBS ARE CREATED / ALTERCATIONS ARE STARTED ....go on developing many things happen!
IF CORPORATION IS IN CHARGE OF MAINTAINACE WHY A COORDINATION TALK BETWEEN ALL DEPARTMENTS IS NOT HELD TO DECIDE QUICK REPAIRS BRINGING BACK THE ROADS TO THE STANDARD THOSE WERE BEFORE EXCAVATIONS?
I do not consider the PROCESS AS A MATURE ONE , ALTHOUGH THERE ARE QUALIFIED AND CAPABLE MEN WHO DRAW SALARIES AS USUAL ARE PHYSICALLY PRESENT!
THE SNAG IS OF A FEELING OF LETHARGY AND NEGLECTFUL ATTITUDE TOWARDS PUBLIC AND OF A 'TELL ME AND THEN i DO'
ATMOSPHERE!
THAT WONT BRING PROGRESS!

Almost the entire stretch of EM Bypass is in bad shape. The road is uncomfortably uneven in several patches for example, near the Bartaman building and Milan Mela complex. There are no road warnings about these. In the evenings, this becomes worse because of poor lighting and motorists are always taken by surprise by these unmarked road bumps, which are really because the road has not been levelled.

Almost all roads of Kolkata are very poor condition.This needs immediate attention of the KMC prior to Durga Puja and timely response of the same at least on each quarter.

Very poor conditions of roads near jadavpur,kalikapur and kasba areas.The manholes are not properly covered and leave such a deep potholes that night drivers ,especially the two wheeler drivers are only at Gods mercy. If these manholes cannot be filled properly atleast have them highlighted with white paint or neon pain(that shines at night) to alert drivers from a distance.

There will be no need to keep wasting the tax money on remaking and repairing roads again n again,IF,good standard material is used initially only.

Very bad. Proper quality of materials as well as time required for completion of job are not often given adding with untrained workforce engaged.
