There are two trash bins on a sharp curve right opposite the Ponniamman Koil on Ponniamman Koil Street, Adyar. Both of the bins are bang in the middle of the road. One day something serious is going to happen. Garbage is collected haphazardly. I am not sure if the garbage collection frequency exceeds twice a week.

Irregular, they come at times guaranteed to inconvenience people, dangerous driving.

It seems garbage is collected only after the road is almost completely blocked.

Garbage collection is good. Source segregation is not properly done. No special arrangements for disposal of e-waste

Garbage collection is o.k. but it has to be improved. People should also help in reducing the garbage by avoiding plastic bags.

Every house,flat or commercial establishment should have two bins (one for wet and the other for dry may be in different colours), Contractors fixed for collection and disposal. No road side Bins to be provided. Nominal charge of rs.100 per month to be collected and tokens 30 tokens issued to the owners. The contractor should be paid a percentage on the basis of tokens collected. Apart from the above,Like Police for Law and order, traffic, police for cleanliness drive should be posted and responsibility fixed on them to keep their area clean and collect penalty from the misuse rs of public land,foot path etc.. Cameras, ,mobile or appropriate apps. contact be established for speedy removal of garbage.

I am residing at Vandalur. The local authorities a have made arrangements to clear the garbage with a door to door service. The arrangement is to collect it on a daily basis. But the appointed agents ( hand cart pullers ) come once in a week or at the most once in four or five days. On the days they done come people/residents simply throw their wastes on the streets and the cart killers never clear these wastes. These remain for ever and pose a health hazard. The local authorities don't bother about this ugly scene.

Garbage collection is regular but people are not very cooperative in giving the garbage at the given time of collection. So the people leave it on the street to be eaten by dogs, birds etc. and make all the place dirty. Could provide with bins to deposit the garbage after the collection hours.
