Footpaths are completely encroached by the vendors all the time and widening of footpath is only an eye wash and it has congested the usable road width wherein only one bus is allowed to go in whole road width and whats the use of parking the vehicles on the road side again - which reduced the road width? We can clearly see the double standard of Traffic Police also, where in they fine the parked vehicles (even for getting down to buy medicine from medical shop - one should walk 10 ft, from the roadside) and the vendors are allowed to do FREE BUSINES even when they are blocking pedestrians as well as vehicular traffic on the road. Foot path widening is not at all effective and it has created more problems than solutions. Scrap the unnecessary project and stop misusing the public fund.
This area requires constant supervision as the small eateries occupy the footpaths right from 6.00 pm and spoil the roadside with lots of garbage . They should be dissuaded by all means as they earn not less than Rs 2000 per day ! They have to clear the left overs and debris properly and given alternate employment .
