EVERY AREA CAN HAVE "DESIGNATED AND ALLOCATED LOCAL SPACES" FOR SUCH MARGINAL SELLERS / HAWKERS BTW

Sidewalks are used for everything except for walking. Political patronage and corrupt police ensure that roadside shopping and eateries thrive, except for high profile areas such as Pondy bazaar. The road in front of Chennai high court is one of the worst affected.

All these vendors occupy the even little walking space. They should do their business at designated places only.

I would add here the Tea/Coffee Shops as well, which invite Stray Dogs round the Clock. They grow like Mushrooms in the same area and street. How many Eatery/Tea shops one needs. In Bazullah Road, T. Nagar, there are 6 to 7 Hawkers/Pavement Encroachers., in addition to the Restaurants on the Street. Two Wheelers/Autowalas/Yellow Taxi fellows park irresponsibly blocking the Residential Gates and hindering the traffic flow. Gaps between Sewage Drain Lids and Road are accident prone and life threatening for speeding vehicles on this Road. Corp. should also remove all the Auto stands in the area, as they do not accede to the Commuters request for the Trip all the time and if at all they agree, their demand is double. The whole day, they chit chat among themselves and refuse to move their butt. They are arrogant and not public friendly. Police are Onlookers; they visit the area for their Coffee and Snacks and do nothing to regulate the traffic or pavement encroachers. There are 4 leading banks on this street which has Security threat due to these chaos.

It is observe red that street vendors/Hawkers/ sellers of Tender coconut, Palm fruit, Melon fruit, flower sellers, on the platform are causing severe garbage pollution on the streets. The Municipality must order that street vendors/hawkers/cart vendors ,must have garbage bins of their own where in they must dispose off their wastes. This garbage pollution is more in the market places, vegetable sellers all sellers must be severely instructed to have their own bins for their disposals.
