Allahabad Bank

My wife had a pleasant experience at Sec 37, Faridabad branch. She was able to withdraw money from the bank due to the cooperative behaviour of the staff. Rather than pay the higher sum of 24000/- to one customer, they opted to pay smaller amounts up to a max of Rs 4000/- to the smaller customers. This ensured a more equitable distribution.
The common belief is that Public Sector Banks are less customer-oriented than the private banks, but this incident has shown them in a more humane light. God bless them!

Two days back I (Senior citizen) and my wife (Sr.citizen0 went to Allahabad Ban at Mogappair, Chennai, to draw some cash from my account in SB.At first the staff admitted the amount and given the Token and handed over to Manager for countersigning. The manager, when he scrolling his computer said that my cheque has been blocked and he could not tell the reason. I being regular customer, and well known to him, helped me to get cash from my account through Withdrawal slip, which the system
admitted. The Manager said that this is technical mistake which has to be rectified by technician when he comes to bank. What a wonderful system that Banks are maintaining.

Inadequate Staff makes the Manager to come to the desk of staff and work like clerk. Still they perform better and comply with the request of customers. They have tough time to handle the crowd who are generally do not come previously. My advice is that all PRADHAN MANTHRI JAN DHAN SB accounts must be placed at disposal of one branch (may be one such branch for every 100 branches of a PSU Bank. This will relieve the work load of most of the branches.
The regular customers are unable to get in to the branch and transact peacefully their day to day transactions and other procedures. Hence make regular customers especially Elders to transact with the Bank branches..

The mad rush has been reduced. But due to want of adequate man power, the Bank branches are sleepy. Attention is better. But the SB entry printing machines are very often outof order, or out of service due to Power failue, or lack of staff. Withdrawal limitation has not been improved. Generally bank shows their interest in lending loans by advertising lower interest rates rather than providing service to regular customers. THIS IS BAD. Managers are generally absent as they are fed up with frequent pestering of customers for some help. Customers are unable to withdraw their cash available in the SB account even in case medical emergencies. Managers say they are unable to help.

After the tension of Demonitization crown has ceased to appear in bank, the Allahabad Bank is functioning normally. However, however, there are large vacancies that this PSU Banks encounter. Moreover, very many staff are going on casual leave, long leave and even the Bank chief, namely Branch Managers/Chief Managers are absent on many occasions. The Staff in this Bank should be filled without delay, if need be by Bank Staff recruitment.
