Why start up India continues to lag

I have been trying to deal with bureaucracy of two states (bjp and non bjp) and central govt and the reality is the babus of our country are just so wary of the entrepreneur and the private company CEO.

I think thats because enough crony capitalists have colluded in th past so some either want something while some are just scared that if they work with private startup later it will be trouble.

Till the Startup India doesnt change such mindsets, startups will never be able to govt contracts.

I want to hear from any entreprneur ceo in this circle who has actually been able to work with govt on financial contract and get paid. more

Painful, but true, that for a start up to survive in India is extremely difficult. The Babus sitting in position of authority do not understand the plight of a new businessman running from pillar to post to set up a shop. When our elected representatives can not understand what good behavior means in the parliament, how can they inject any value system in the Babus hierarchy. Lately, I have observed some change in the system, but too slow to catch up with the world around. more

I stopped working with Govt organisations long ago. Whatever contact we have to do with govt officials in terms of getting licenses, taxes etc is horrible. Yes i can say digitisation is making some improvements where you don't have person to person contact. Working is much better in those cases for most of the time. But in few cases they have found the way to beat online system and you have to go to their office to get the work done. more
