Why not boucott the products of those companies who refused to share details of their customer care departments saying these are confidential? Olympus Camera is one of them!!!

We had contacted the Olympus Imaging India for their Cameras at 022-61420400 to know details of customer care contact like Customer care number, name and address of the head of the customer care for advise to consumers in case they feel any problem with the product . The person had refused to provide the details on the pretext that such information is highly confidential and surprisingly said he is speaking from London. I have never heard any person who has been contacted telephonically in Mumbai can physically talk from London.

Another revealing fact is that if the company treats the customer care contact details confidential why should any person buy their product. What would be the treatment to the customer post sales if he faces any problem with the product and how he would get redressal to his complaint. The best way is to purchase the product of those companies who are willing to share details else boycott irrespective of how much they are cheaper. more  

I am also facing difficulty with asian paints after getting some work done. i would never recommend anyone more  
Dear Mr. Mehra, Thanks for your comments. As a matter of practice we are maintaining the database after due verification as we have found wrong details on the web-sites of most of the companies. I reiterate we need to boycott those companies who are not transparent in their operations and that is the best remedy. There is a quote "customer is an important part of our business" need to be truely implemented. more

I agree with you Mr Virmani that such companies should be boycotted.No company will have its Indian contact no. diverted. I think the guy who was responding was pulling a fast one. Did you ask for his name ? You need to go on the internet and get the details of their HQ customer service and narrate your experience. more
