Sir retinal detachment is a emergency. I hope she is operated by now. Once retinal detachment occurs the regain of vision after surgery depends on how much time retina was detached before. The longer the period less is the vision after surgery. Obviously surgery is the only treatment available. Dear Sir, I saw your response on some member's query. I would also like to know about treatment of retina detachment. My elder sister aged 58, is suffering from it, and has lost most of her vision in one eye because of this problem. more

Sir if there is a membrane formation over retina then only definitive way is a retinal surgery. However, whether the surgery is definitely required in your case will depend on your daily vision requirements , and also your reson for developing this membrane. It may be progressive or non progressive and many other factors so although there is no other cure but you may or may it require surgery. You can contact us regarding the same if you need any help.
