We need a radical change in 'the way we think'. There isn't much difference between NDA's & UPA's thinking....

This Govt is following the same path that Mr. Vajpayee led earlier NDA govt followed (India Shining). So, expect the same result of 2004 in 2019/20 when this Govt faces next elections.

If they want to be back in power next time, they need to think and act differently. The Govt policies need to brings happiness to common man otherwise nothing would change. Mr Modi's credibility is at stake.

In my opinion he must bring down expenditure of Govt significantly & think of spending in programme which are really going to help.
For example opening IITs & IIMs would cost huge sum & help only few hundred students. There are so many pvt colleges struggling as they don't have students, Govt should sponsor the students to these colleges and pay their fee etc (may be inform of interest free loan). it could have helped lacks of students and thousands of the colleges. Effect of govt initiative would have also been felt immediately. I do not understand when there are so many AICTE approved colleges operating at 30 to 40% capacity why do we need additional IIMs or IITs?? Why can't we focus on making every Institute IIT or IIMs. It would also reduce burden on students who spent 12 to 14 hrs a day in training for these institutes, only to get disappointed as there are too less seats in these institutions to accommodate such a large talent pool. Don't make IITs & IIMs realty show as they are only professional colleges....

In name of quality education we have made the life of so many talented students difficult as there is no significant quality control over these colleges.
Why govt does not link the pay of faculties & renewal of approval of colleges (of professional colleges) with the placement of students....Why govt should not make it mandatory for all Pvt firms to hire freshers based on credible degree through online selection process to give equal opportunity to all rather than campus placement, which allows companies to discard majority of old, new & not so established colleges and make IITs & IIMs demigod for students.

Govt is also talking about creating Jobs, students think its going to be Govt Jobs (majority are looking for it). They keep trying till they become overage and by that time they would have lost more than half of there work life. Something needs to be done about this.....

Education is the key to growth & progress and we have HRD minister who has no credible experience or known expertise in HRD. I feel we need a group of people with very strong understanding of HR as consultant to HRD minister...

Another area is Defence expending, with current Govt policies, Armed forces, DRDO, foreign suppliers, Indian Pvt sector & PSUs are going to be very happy. As it would help each one of them to earn & feel happy. The fact remains we do not have the desire to work hard & create our own weapons. Many of old Russian Equipment & weapons technology could have been used to create our own technology (the way we have developed our Missile Programme), digital technology would have made our task simpler... But all these would require not only Mr modi but majority of DRDO labs, PSUs and armed forces people working at-least 12 to 14 hrs a day and do away with foreign trips at govt cost.

I feel NDA is no different from UPA & probably AAP may be the new alternative....

I do not have any doubt about Mr Modi's desire & dream but at the end of it he has to take BJP forward & I am afraid at the end of this tenure people of this country would feel cheated yet again by a group they trusted few years back.

Govt needs to act like a tiger who develops hunting skills in its cubs rather than feeding it all through at the cost of taxpayers money....

There are many more things we need to look differently...

I believe the education system needs complete revamp. A young school student from Bihar gave this lesson to Bihar CM in the meeting the CM went to honor and CM was tite lipped because had no answer. All Government School which are in large number and have good number of students covering the rural and urban India needs improvement in the infrastructure and the faculty as well. The teachers do not come to the school they are non educated and do not know how to teach. Students keeps playing in the school. The attitude of teachers and students needs complete overhaul. It is sham that Government School teachers' children go t private schools why because they know there is no education in their school. more
If private institutions are not finding students there is no point in having so many colleges which do not have necessary infrastructure and quality education. IITs and IIMs are not expensive compared to private engineering and management institutes. Government should actually curb such institutions. more
Our union HRD minister is a very competent person and all policy decisions will reflect the wholistic understanding of the Government as a whole. There are very many senior secretary level bureaucrats working all their way to bring about real change, not only in the HRD ministry but all ministries as well. You should listen to her speeches and prompt answers she gives to the questions raised in Parliament regarding her ministry. We should not target our honourable Minister just like that. People in TN are aware that not many could be accommodated into government jobs. Private sector is the key to employment and hence Modi sarkar is hell bent on improving manufacturing sector. Erstwhile congress government has spoiled Indian mindset as to get benefits from government by subsidies. Because of that we indians have lost our past glory, reduced to begging bowls like people. We have talent, courage and tenacity for work. We are proud of our intelligence and calibre. Only economy has to be on track and manufacturing sector with labour intensive industries on the line we should be doing much better--in fact we will outshine even china. more
why don't you try and make your college into an IIT or an IIM sir? If we give IIT or IIM tag to all students, will it be ok sir? Why should we make all private institutions into IIT or IIM? Private institutions have been built with clear knowledge of ground reality. They have to meet the competition, work hard to impart education, upgrade the skills of the students, bring out the individuality of their wards, give confidence to the students to meet the challenges thrown by private sector companies. What you are propagating is reservation for all Tom, Dick and Harry, which will erode the existing strength of institutions, eat into the morale of the bright students who are the contributing forces of the society. If we give equal importance or same treatment for the performing and non performing students, according to you the poor performers shall be upgraded to high performers. But please understand sir, the good performer's level will come down and it will be like a fool's world. We cannot afford to be like that. more
