We do always talk of our rights but seldom speak about our own responsibilities.

While driving on the road, many drivers found chewing 'Paan' and at a point wherever they stop the vehicle, the first duty they discharge is to open the door and spit on the ground. Such scenes are quite visible in stair case or some corners of many govt. buildings where the walls are painted with 'paan spitting'. Another action that is commonly visible is to throw the garbage/polythene from the window of moving vehicle onto the road/or dividers etc. which gives a very ugly look and spoiling the environment.

Shopkeepers keep their store-items for display on the footpath, motorbikes are parked on the varrandaha forcing pedestarian to walk on the road putting themselves to the risk of being hit by some vehicles. While corruption is also one factor contributing for such illegal footpath occupation, the public also does close their eyes and ears to such menace.

We need first to sensitize ourselves and then the fellow road users. more

Virmani Sahab, we need to take up these issues also when aap comes in power. Just pray that people understand that only aap can provide better government. They will learn politics with time. Thanks. In my view such issues comes under both categories. Healthy and clean environment, walking safe on the road is also our consumer/civic rights. In fact there is a very thin line bewteen citizen and consumer rights and responsibilities. more
