THANKS, S.A.AGARWAL JI! MAY GOD HELP "AAP" WIN THIS LS ELECTION,2014 WITH FULL MAJORITY! more
THANKS, VIRMANI JI! 'TRAI' HAS IMPOSED SET-TOP-BOXES TO THE PUBLIC WHOLE IN COUNTRY BUT IT COULD NOT MONITOR THE C.O.(CABLE OPERATORS) & M.S.O.(MULTY-SYSTEM-OPERATORS) IF THEY ARE PURSUING AS PER NORMS AS WELL AS COULD NOT MONITOR IF THE PAID T.V.CHANNELS ARE SHOWING 12 MINUTES ADVERTISEMENTS IN EVERY ONE HOUR. ALSO, IT COULD NOT AWAKEN (JAAGO GRAHAK JAAGO!) THE PUBLIC IF SOME OF THEM IS FOLLOWING THE ORDERS AND WHAT ONE OF THE PUBLIC CAN DO AGAINST THEM. ALSO, THERE IS NO PROVISION OF COMPLAINTS LODGING PORTAL ON THE WEBSITE OF 'TRAI' AS WELL AS NO NATIONAL HELPLINE FOR THE SAME. HOW CAN ONE EXPECT FROM "TRAI' OR OTHER SUCH LIKE AUTHORITIES? more
Dear Shri Siv Avtar Ji, In my view, Banking Ombudsman is still a solution to some extent for the consumer taking up their cases if Banks fail to resolve disputes. But the condition of telecom industry is worst even as there is no Telecom Ombudsman and the telecom industry has a free ride to loot the telecom consumer. Electricity Regulatory Commissions are the other regulatory authorities who even dont entertain the complaints. If these regulatory commissions look into their job seriously of the penalising the companies as per benchmark of services, the electricity consumer would also be saved from the harassment that electricity discoms are doing. more
I refer to the comments of Mr. Ganga Ram. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India is a live example which has failed in its mandate of "protect the interest of consumer". Unsolicited commercial communication and Value Added Service are two main issues which it could not resolve due to its tendency to take care of corporates. Despite a clear and explicit order of CIC (who got convinced with my stand in a RTI), it could not prevent industry to extort the money from activation of value added service without any consent of the subscriber. Value Added Service is a billion dollar inductry and hence have been acting pro-industry. Most of the consumers are pre-paid and of under privileged society and has no approach to get redressal. I have written several articles on my blog which have been forwarded to them but of no use till now. A reference can be drawn about existing of corruption in telecom industry. Some of the articles are: http://jagograhak.blogspot.in/2013/10/whether-rules-and-regulations-are.html http://jagograhak.blogspot.in/2013/09/cic-directed-trai-to-evolve-clear-and.html http://jagograhak.blogspot.in/2013/05/is-trai-really-interested-in-protecting.html more
SHIV AVTAR JI, ALL COMMISSIONS & AUTHORITIES WHICH WERE ESTABLISHED FOR THE INDEPENDENCE WORKING IN THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC. BUT FOR SO LONG AND NOW-A-DAYS , THEY HAVE BECOME QUITE FEARLESS, FREE & ALSO TAKING ORDERS FROM THE LEADERS AS PER THEIR REQUIREMENTS. EVEN THEY HAVE SHAKEN THEIR HANDS WITH THE CORPORATE HOUSES & CULPRITS LIKE LEADERS HAVE BEEN DOING SO. WHERE IS PUBLIC WELFARE? WHERE IS "IN THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC"? ONLY PUBLIC ARE MONITORED NOT CORPORATE HOUSES OR CULPRITS FOR WHICH THEY WERE CREATED. more
