Vision Document/Election Manifesto etc be made legal enforceable contract
Hello Friends,
It will be a great opportunity to share ideas that would contribute towards empowering public and nation building. My first suggestion is - Election Manifesto, Vision Document, Paper, Promises, Slogans etc, called by whatever name, be given the status/treated as a legally enforceable agreement/contract between public and party/independent candidates with right to public to call back the candidate failing to implement the promised plan. It will generate and develop accountability on the political party/candidate winning the election and ensure that they will work for the good cause of the people and nation building.
Secondly the Election Manifesto, Vision document or paper etc, called by whatever name, should project year wise plan of action with financial resources as to what the party/candidate is proposing to do when they win election. This year wise plan will be legally enforceable by public if the candidate/party does not implement the plans and the candidate will be called back if he fails to implement the proposed plans.
I would request all citizens in Delhi/NCR and all over India to take up this matter as a good cause. It will strengthen democracy and restore faith of people. It will also check the tendency of making populist, extravagant and non practicable promises by parties. more

Suggestion is good , but arrogant and good only for being the subject of jokes political fraternity will never agree. more

I fully agree with Mr Chandramani Lal.We should also take up the matter for making compulsory a healthy debate between aspirant CM's of different parties so that public should know who will be their better CM. Like I demand a debate between Dr Bedi and Mr AK more

I agree. The manifest of any Political Party / Politician should have a judicial status and an assessment date identified twice a year where by the candidate makes a public hearing of his achievements - something like a Report Card. What we witnessed in the last 60 years is that a politician makes loud promises but never fulfills. In five years of his tenure he makes crores of money and walks out but we the citizens remain in the same hell for ever. If a citizen achieves less than 80% of his promise he should be debarred forever. Hence a yard stick to measure the performance of a politician must be created by the Election Commission and be uploaded for every politician on the website. more

I dont think people believe in any manifestos. They make assessment on the information available and most of time have proved right. I do not know what measures can be taken to prevent media from paid / planted news. more
