Update
1. More than 50 tankers were in operation to sprinkle water on roads to ensure that air pollution due to resuspension of dust particles is minimized. Sprinkling has been done on all major roads and hotspots in Noida and Greater Noida like area near Metro construction routes, 105m road near Sector Delta in Greater Noida, 130 m road, kasna rotaries. Only STP water has been utilized for sprinkling.
2. Teams from UPPCB have inspected number of hot mix plants, brick kilns and industries to whom notices were served to stop operations. No brick kiln or hot mix plant was found operational today. Industries were also found closed.
3. One Ready mix Concrete Plant, M/s Lafarge India was found operational in Greater Noida. Fine of Rs. 50,000/- is being recommended against it and notice for violation is also being issued. It has been asked to suspend its operations with immediate effect.
4. One other Ready mix Concrete plant M/s Ultratech in NOIDA has also been fined Rs. 50,000/- for storing its raw material uncovered and in open.
5. 02 incidences of agricultural waste residue burning have come to light in villages Luharli and Godi bacheda. Fine will be imposed as per size of land.
6. 04 incidences of MSW burning have been reported and fine of Rs. 40,000/- is being recommended.
7. Violation was also reported at Eastern Peripheral site, notice is being issued to NHAI for same.
8. Public announcements using mobile vehicles have also been done in Greater Noida area.
Teams are still on site and reports are still coming in.
As per CPCB and GRAP Task force, PM10 and PM2.5 levels continue to stay in Severe + category, primarily due to adverse meteorological factors like wind speed, wind direction, low temperatures and low mixing height. As per IMD forecast, the wind flow is likely to change towards North – West from tomorrow and it will help in bringing down pollutant levels considerably.

Sir , As the level of pollution is rising to dangerous levels , keeping in mind the health of children would suggest schools be closed. more

Thanks sir Please issue instructions to: a) cover / remove building materials lying on roads or service lanes on all major roads. b) remove encroachments from the roads - to have smooth traffic on roads. more

Thanks sir, but nothing has been done to clean the inner Sector roads which are full of horticulture west. Nobody does anything to remove the same from Sector roads. Some west has been picked up from the 18 meter roads, which is a eye wash. more
