Requested transfer to VECC Kolkata not carried out. Hometown is Kolkata. Reapplication made seeking transfer to VECC Kolkata and now it is about 9 months since application submitted, but no formal response in favour of transfer on immediate basis. Reapplication Transfer application is with recommendation for transfer to VECC. more

ICC(indian cryogenic council) is celebrating Golden Jubilee year in association with VECC Kolkata (where transfer sought from BARC, Mumbai), 13-14 Nov, 2025. Due to transfer not yet carried out(no formal intimation received), participation has become difficult. In fact VECC guest house rooms are to be vacated as the guest house to remain engaged for delegates during said period or more days. Such transfer not yet carried out may allow engineering/scientific activities to suffer in the domain, including participation. more

It's not that transfer in scientific/technical officers doesn't take place. It does happen, in fact also to Kolkata from Mumbai. Disclosures may reveal this and also grounds, if any. Transfer can also be expedited. more

If you are an administrative employee (non‑scientific/technical cadre) of DAE/VECC, then the standard DAE transfer policy for administrative staff should apply. If you are a scientific/technical employee, there may not be a defined transfer policy (or a publicly available one) governing transfers. That can make your request more difficult to process or predict. more
