The pricks at heavy price....some times of life
Dear Mr DM GB Nagar, Chairman NOIDA, RWA and MLAs,
Mosquitoes in NOIDA are multiplying more than the combined whats up messages roaming around in world.
They have outnumbered the population of our district by n-th factor.
They prick,
then the doctor pricks ,
the chemists pluck our money,
the mosquitoe repellent companies pick our pockets,
these sprays, cakes and creams further harm our lungs,
the administration raises alarms of an epidemic,
spray around,
form task forces, conduct media explanations and warnings.
Sir, is there no way, we can take pre emptive steps to save our residents, children and aged.?
Is your combined intelligence, not good enough to handle a tiny mosquitoe?
Or is it a classic case of joint business collaboration of different living beings of the world? This is neither cruelty to animals, nor to humans perhaps. more

Unfortunately, such problems cannot be solved by so called "Administrators". They generally have no idea of what needs to be done or should be done. I really don't know why Doctors and specialist sanitation experts are not employed or deployed or engaged to take up such assignments. Once the likely solution is found, then the Administration can be given the responsibility for implementation. - Just simple things like Fogging is not properly done. First the time is wrong. Fogging must be done just at Sunset time. The time available for killing mosquitoes is about 30-45 minutes during this period. No use in fogging during day time or after sunset. - Further fogging is namesake. The guys do not bother to direct fog in the areas where mosquitoes are most likely. They simply fog on middle of the road. This is incorrect. - Action is ever taken in cleaning drains. Only to show people that something is being done, an excavator would be deployed for a day or two and the muck remains on the road side for the next 20-30 days, so that most of it gets pushed back into the drain. Do we expect these methods to succeed? How many times does a DM or his senior officials or the CEO of Noida Administration or his senior staff, visit sites which are under so-called cleaning? NEVER...... Their job is merely to sign papers and sign orders. They have no real interest in resolving public problems. - All drains must be concreted and led to Sewage Treatment plants. But this does not happen. So the sewage merely flows slowly.... and to which destination is not known. more

There is a lot to do. Public will have to hold hands of administration to get all done. Mosquitoes don't spare any one. The initial concept of Noida Authority to have open kacha drains might have been under financial constraints and since these drains were only to have water during rain only so no need of cleaning. Development thereafter such as increase in population, multi storey buildings, pumping of sewerage water from jammed underground sewerage pipe in to rainwater drains has becomes unhealthy seen of dirty water with clogging material and breeding place of mosquitoes. The situation is worsened with adoption of wrong remedial actions by Noida Authority to cover the kacha drains plus adopting of cleaning these drains once in a year in a untidy way. Methods should adopted to reconnect the areas and proper cheap transport system, with suitable safe cycle tracks. more

Agree with Biju . I complained to Noida officials and I was told that they clean the drain once a year and they can just put some pesticides. How can anyone take such serious issues so lightly. Many societies have just made open drains with boundary wall which causes high breeding of infectious mosquitos. This needs to be dealt with utter seriousness or Yogi Ji has to be involved here as well.. more

Vinay Bhaskar appear to be expert in putting up the issue which is known as गागर मे सागर? The experience is that since election in UP the Authority appear to be sleeping and this fact is proved by the amount of increase in mosquito production more
