The grossly corrupt postman in the passport process
The Modi Government ministers like Sushma Swaraj, VK singh may please note that the last leg of the pasport process which is the postman delivering passports at home is still grossly corrupt.
These people dont deliver the passport till they get something. They will demand, beg saying sir/maam some inam and mithai for us before we give u the passport. Its pathetic.
Can you please fix this system on priority. Such a good process now but the last step leaves bad taste in the mouth.
And just FYI, even most of yout post masters are corrupt. They take money in various ways. Not sure who the minister is for post office. He is a failure actually. more

"postal department" is the Best considering all factors. When a person is unable to sostain the Heat of afternoon the same Postman is delivering the parcel which is supposed to be received by the very Addressey - whereas receiver expect that in his absence it should be delivered to his residence without very signature (Even to complaint letteron that it was received by In Laws and misplaced so to say that why the delivery is effected????) All these extra efforts are without any additional charge is expected BUT even a single incident is seeking some favor is getting complained. It is rightly stated that A Cinem can grab Rs 500 crs is a week than additionally charges for Onion / Tomato etc by couple of rupees is well justified. In given case after obtaining the Passport the Person is ready to spend thousands of rupees for his foreign trip but creazee for Rs. 50/100 even considering the Hard work is getting performed. In case to save that also Personal collection Option is well open BUT without obtaining that cretisisum is well placed. Certainly NOT acceptable. more

Postmen, in General are not corrupt. People feel sympathy to them and give money as they travel in rain and hot summer. My mother was giving money to the postman on delivery of her monthly pension, and she keeps money separately before he comes. It was happy moment for both of them. But lot of improvement needed in the postal organisation. 1.Employee behavior is the first and foremost . 2.Keep a pleasing staff at the inquiry counter 3.The building and infrastructure to be better 4.Better communication facility and trained person , at least one , should be there in each office with Computer knowledge to take care of PCs and communication system. 5.There are improvements in certain function , but it should be with all the functions. Everything should me electronically monitored. 6.Post office should look in to add non postal activities that will give revenue. one of the best network in India , connecting every location,and that must be utilized. For example,In villages , it can be used for collecting agricultural products from farmer. This will help farmers and also govt to collect agri products cheaper. Govt can bring radical change if with will and pleasure work on the improvements more

The postal department is the worst.No letters are delivered especially sentby ordinary post. So people go after courier service more

It is a year since my son had updated his aadhar card but the original has still not reached him..we even went to the post office searching for it but the postman has all the rest of aadhar cards except my son's. Dont know where it has disappeared, i checked with the Aadhar card office and they had confirmed it was sent two months ago. We did not get the original till date. The local post offices are very reluctant to help in such cases, they are least interested.. more
