There is need for widening of the approach road to DND from/ to NOIDA LINK ROAD ON Noida side and approach road from Ring Road to DND from just to lanes to 3-4 lanes is the solution to perpetual traffic jam on both end. There is land available on the side of the existing approach on both end. This work can be accomplished in hardly 15 days must be taken immediately. more

I agree with Shri Payasi. We need to distribute pamphlets on lane driving, may deploy traffic volunteers or Marshalls to guide and also paint the lanes for Fast Tag on the road as well as put hoarding defining lanes. All these measures together may solve most of the problem. more

Besides the road widening what is more important is the education of drivers. Drivers are not patient enough to drive in lane, they want to drive and barge into any foot of space they see. In addition to this, the drivers are driving on right when they have to take a left turn and vice versa. if only we all start following lane driving, stop barging in to the cramped space and follow the traffic rules it would ease up 50% of the traffic. more

Mr Rajiva Singh - Your suggestion to make the approach road to DND from Noida, WIDER is absolutely of no use. I am sure you are aware that the main bottleneck of the DND is at the Nizamuddin Crossing. There is no point in widening roads unless the onward routes are also similarly widened. In fact the more advantageous work would be to provide a separate overhead road with just 2-3 exit and entry points right from the junction of DND Road and Ring Road right upto Dhaula Kuan, so that traffic that travels long distances does not need to cross all the fly-overs. I am sure you would have noticed that all flyovers are jammed and are a major cause of traffic bottlenecks. more
