Techie objects to loud music, thrashed by neighbour

This is not very common scenario in city like Noida/Greater Noida. When common man raises a voice for such issues, they are physically and mentally assaulted. (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/noida/techie-objects-to-loud-music-thrashed-by-neighbours/articleshow/56861873.cms)

With this case, I would request the Local Circles manager/ DM Sir to bring some light on how one should report such cases and actions are being taken. I was threatened by some people when I was trying to do similar complaint for a Mandir which put on loud music at 4 A.M. Worst thing was that my complaint was not even registered on police helpline on context of religious ground. Be it social or religious places, we must follow the rules. (By the way, Supreme court of India has a strict rule to ban loud music near residential areas from 10 PM to 6 AM).

I hope together we can bring some discipline of all sort and make a list of such places where the loud noise is creating problems for many.

Thanks

local circle has a way to do anonymous reporting for some circle. it should be enabled for noida circle and all police officials should be mandatorily made part of it. more
Totally agree, be it any religion or festival. One should understand that our enjoyment cab be a worry for senior citizen, small kids or ailing patient who needs rest. We are growing western and somehow not leaving behind the age old practices. High time that our govt must define length and breath of all processions, baraat or any other religious gathering. more
I fully endorse Sumit Bajaj's point of view. I am a staunch Hindu myself. Hindus criticise Muslims of playing loud music five times a day during their prayers. But Hindus conveniently forget that they play very loud kirtans, bhajans at least two to three hours both mornings and evenings and more during festive months and festivals, especially the Jagratas. This is a huge disturbance for the students, old, the sick and others who cannot tolerate loud sound. Even private kirtans conducted at homes are put out on loud speakers without considering whether the neighbours like it or not. There is no reason or logic to using blaring speakers for a private function like that of a kirtan. Each area residential associations should try and sensitise residents to not to use speakers for kirtans and also convince temple authorities to use speakers inside the temples and not on the top of the temples. Police authorities should keep the names and ids of the complainant a secret and should help the citizens in controlling noise pollution. more
