Suggestion regarding the problem not to take load by knee during step up climbing.

During step up climbing my left knee does not take load . X-rays and blood parameters are quite normal.My age is 49 years. I was advised to take calcium and stretching and lenstine exercise. But it still persist. Please suggest what should I do ? more

if all friends are interested and more maybe, i can offer my level-1 fitness sessions by making a group of 6 to 12.It can be formed in east delhi for sure, (i am in mayur vihar-1), as also south and central delhi...will put in the details by tomorrrow more  
well all suggestions are true with medical evidence. one must walk as much as possible, avoid stairs, and if necessary to use stairs, keep a slow pace and with help of support. Take calcium and vitamin D, do knee exercises... more

Mr.Khan, there is no choice, let alone a tough one; you ask any orthopaedician, and they will advise you if you a knee problem to avoid stairs as much as possible. It is not a matter of feeling comfortable; stairs, climbing up or down, would always put stress on the knee, and it is not good for it. more  
It is a tough choice between taking the stairs and taking elevator/escalator. A compromise could be first take the stairs and if felt uncomfortable after a few flights, take elevator/escalator to have best of both the worlds!! more
