Strengthening Knees

I think someone had asked this question in one of the circles. How can one strengthen their knees. My knees hurt when I run on treadmill above speeds 8. Does that indicate a deficiency of some vitamin/mineral? What can be done. more

thx , thats what i feel iand posted it before that electronic assessment and advise may not be helpful and at times may be harmful , though broaded general advises can be given more  
there are various causes for knee pain as in u r case , better consulut a orthopaedic , for correct assessment more  
Acupressure Acupuncture and Physio will help you a lot. more  
if you feel pain or hurt knees this shows some deficiency of minerals and calcium. This you need orally. In addition you need to do few yoga exercises including stretching. Avoid treadmill for few weeks. more  
very true...there are lot of possibilities in which knees hurt, better to get them check first by an ortho and then proper treatment by a physio more
