Start up India projects for Swachch Bharat scheme

It appears that start up India programme is losing the sense of direction .Obviously, Government of India has not indicated the priority areas for start up India projects in tune with the government of India's programme and national need.

Start up India projects can be elegantly combined with Swachch Bharat Schemes.

Waste is a source of profit and feedstock for derivative products. R & D initiatives to generate technology to produce product from waste in India are inadequate.

In Canada, municipal waste are used to produce methanol , which is a building bloc for many chemicals and with many applications. India imports more than 1.7 million tonne of methanol per annum. Why not India produce methanol from municipal sewage?

Another project has been commissioned abroad very recently to produce organic fertiliser from waste water successfully and fertiliser is sold extensively and has become very popular. Why not we do this ?

There are many such opportunities

If Modi government can encourage the start up India entrepreneurs to develop useful products from waste, the twin objectives of Swachch Bharat and industrial promotion would be achieved.

Its good to start the utilisation of waste. Waste is Best if utilised. We without Govt. Permission and Fund cannot start it. more
I agree with you to the extent that it is not marketed with the teal like Sawatch Bharat Mission .But See how we expect from this Govt. Now the priories are on security . more
The secret of success of Swatch Bharat is not cleaning the wastes from the surroundings but controlling its generation. Majority of the wastes that we see around are products' packaging stuff starting from medicinal strips, used tubes, bottles of both glass and plastics and other packaging materials. Further electronic scraps are also getting accumulated somewhere else. The Govt should bring in appropriate law stating that manufactures producing any products and selling using any types of packaging that are not biodegradable with in 15 days must be brought back with a nominal cost and that they should recycle it in the production process. The reason Govt encourages Startups is to get fresh & innovative ideas which should effectively work in our setup. Why the Startups expect Govt to tell them what they should do? Only people with initiative and enterprise can succeed. more
