Start Up is not a new concept, it is old wine in new bottle ,like skill development , there is need for minimising harrassement & recognising skills , in beaurecretic system it is difficult because they presume they are master in all, but truth is that they are creating hurdle for self satisfying as they are equipped with unlimited power, simple example is my field i.e. Handloom ,where beauty is with little investment in m/cry , one can produce high value product by same raw-material, but unfortunetly skill is not getting sufficient encouragement due to mixing the theory or art, like wise inspite tremendous pressure not in a position to promote production of solar energy while we are rich in rawmaterial but lagging on conversion. more
Niranjan bhai, this is precisely happening with many such beginners. Have not done any home work for products marketability in domestic or exports, concept/project selection of a product sustainability, the SWAT analysis , the fast changing market demands, competitors products etc; EVERY THIRD ONE WANTS TO SALE ONLY POTATOES IN THE VEGETABLE MARKET AND THEN SAY IT DOESN'T WORK. Many such enthusiast approach me also and have already met ten people , i have suggested them many products, which have minimum investment, nearly zero competition, with fast payback period , but no one wants to venture.I don't understand their interests. Our ace competitor in trade CHINA, one may ask any product and they have it, how is it that they manufacture and can supply it? Our trade forums and business forums needs to discuss and analyse it even FICCI, LOCAL SUCH ORGANIZATIONS MUST DISCUSS THIS .EVEN THE COMMERCE MINISTRY/MINISTRY OF INDUSTRIES, BANKS , PROJECT FINANCE INSTITUTIONS, can also provide better analysis , guidance to many such aspirants. It has proven to be a non starter & only a word Govt wants to take credit for, without doing anything worthwhile. more
sir, it seems your comments are bit half informed or may be not well studied on this issue. more
startups are built around solving problems through tech. most of the startups these days are either aggregators of services and goods which do not require any complex tech, or they are solving problems of smes or giants by using data analytics. the problems which are solved cannot be scaled due to many challenges. more
It is not problem solving sir. It is for starting own industry, business as a self employed person n can create job opportunities for others. Troubleshooting is a part of work experience, n as paid consultant . This doesn't fall under start-up. more
Start up activity has rise time as it involves attitudinal change. It may take time but it is an opening for exploitation of one's talent. Some may succeed sum may falter. That is not a description of the concept but of the individuals. Once an enthusiast got a sanction of his loan for setting up a small unit. He did have a product idea and was competent to explore it. He met me to give good news. In the course of our dialogue he outlined his plans. He said he will first set up an office, and typist, peon and make the office air conditioned. He was shocked when I told him if he is talking about his path of doom or success? I told him to Start only with revenues generating assets. Then once you get stead fund flow, only from the earning you should think of A/C etc. Such flamboyance is not uncommon more
