Solar Power

Central Government / State government has announced various schemes and given paper advertisements for using Solar power system. We can use it - if we can make huge investment and have proper space on the roof - to install.

I am anxious to know, why the government has not put these systems so far on the buildings, they own. Secondly, all the new malls, Flats made by DDA or private builders, offer power back up, but they are not asked to put the solar system, instead they install big generators.

Really, when the day will come, when all the government offices, and commercial establishments, Big housing projects will be asked to use only solar power only.

This will save a lot of electricity for poor public like us, who cannot afford to install solar power / generators / pay huge electricity bills.

Thanks more

It is nice scheme. govt should also offered some subsidy to promote the scheme. It will be helpful in power saving and clean air for breathing. more
According to me the solar power is use full in day time only from 10AM to 5 PM, if you would like to use for more time then batteries are required for storage the power so it becomes costly. It has been found that the storage in batteries are not sufficient because it is use full for a few hours only. So solar power can not be used like hydro power or thermal power sources at a stretch, it is use full only for back up power i.e during break in continuous power supply. more
Dear Ashok,I agree with you. All big buildings (Hospitals, Apartments, Corporate/ Government & Business centres) should be asked to install SOLAR SYSTEM as they have sufficient space on roof & funds also.

Nice thought. It should be generalized publically by sending an issue to local newspaper, television & for keeping it mandatory to all the government offices, commercial establishments & Big housing projects. more
