Road accidents due to non awareness towards safety

Recently there is growth in road accidents on highways. Some of these accidents occurs due to careless attitude of drivers or owners, few of the reasons are
1. Non glowing of Tail lamp,Break lights & side indicator lamp.
2. Illegal parking.
3. Safety Alert symbol ( Triangle in red color) missing for failed vehicle on road.
4. Many Tractor Drivers doesn't have license to drive and have no awareness for Road safety rules.
I proposes whenever a vehicle is runs on a highway it has to get obtain a safety certificate from the first toll he comes across or a automatic machines check system to be installed for this purpose only.

I hope we can avoid few accidents on account of safety lapses and an awareness among drivers will be developed. more

Dear Avtarsingh ji, I can give not only ideas but also help if the Government wants to utilize my services. I am a mechanical engineer and was Insurance assessor for long time and so know perhaps know more about how and why accidents occur than many. I am now in my 71st year and still willing to help, but the execution has to be through government agencies and unless they are serious about setting the malaise right, there is not much that I can do barring rendering advise on the local circle. Regards, Chandrashekhar more
yes I am willing to volunteer for fault analysis & solution more
Mr. Chandrashekher has given very good ideas. But he has not mentioned a time bound programme to give practical shape to his ideas to get the result.Words like thinking and understanding will not work. What will work is doing. So what is being done should be highlighted. more
I think we need to understand that the negligence of driver, badly designed and constructed roads and poor quality of road designs are the primary reasons of accidents. Next is the lackadaisical way driving tests are carried out and rampant corruption which makes it easy to a person not fit to drive obtain a driving license. So this will have to be a multi pronged effort and mere signage will not help, it at all. more
