Some time back LocalCircles announced that Govt of India has accepted our circle inputs and now caps are placed on surge pricing and drivers basically have to pay penalty if they cancel.

Can you please advise if the Govt has implemented the same. Mr. Bihani’s post below indicates otherwise.

The Govt tends to make lot of announcements but these seem to take a long time to become reality. How can that be speed up if its the case more

There should be caps on surge pricing and drivers should be penalised, if they cancel. more
I am against the very concept of Surge Pricing in any area. It is nothing but planned exploitation of the citizens. I hope Modiji hears the cries of his people... more
No matter how bad the practices are they are still private companies and government should not force any private company to do anything in a free market system as long as it is not anything criminal. It is like you force a business to sell you something when they do not want to. more
Radio taxi drivers look for long distance drive. This is one reason, they ignore calls of short distance. Fare surging also keeps customers think, but, customers prefer taking radio taxi to avoid pollution. Refusal by drivers are an offence, because, Uber or Ola company shares details of taxi number, drivers name, contact details etc. When driver refuses drive, Company should penalize drivers and, in such cases, REGULATORY AUTHORITIES viz:: RTO should fame law to penalize driver and to make inconvenience charges to customers, whose were inconvenienced by refusal by driver. more
I had similar experience with OLA too. The driver came and asked me for the OTP. When I gave it he said it does not match with his records and said he can't take us. we fortunately got a Kaji-Pili and go to my destination. more
