Rules for podcast and audio video platforms

India has taken bad taste, provocative content to the next level with these stupid comedy shows full of crude humour. It doesn’t go with the heritage and culture of this country.

It is extremely critical that LocalCircles places a strong non negotiable request to Government of India to make rules for censorship of such content for influencers, platforms and all parties involved along with jail term for violators.

Can members of the circle please share their views and LC Manager please take this forward. I have noticed this Government places a lot of trust in what LocalCircles says and if the request is escalated it will be attended to. more

Unfortunately Media is only interested in TRP. They are least concerned with morality, culture, etc. more
The makers of such shows themselves have a bad taste. They apparently lack excellent ideas of making people laughing & entertained. Such cheap products must be totally banned from airing through any source. more
Fully agree and support the views expressed in this post. strict action must be taken against the culprits and censorship is must for social media. more
Censorship is must for all types of media - news, movies, OTT, songs, shows, web series, etc. No violence, abusive language/ behaviour, smoking / drinking/ drugs consumption should be shown. Media is a reflection of society but society is a multiple reflection of media. Many inappropriate things are shown in media like use of abusive language, violence, smoking, drinking, details of how several crimes are committed. Media personnel give the argument they show what is happening in reality. But there are many people in society who do not use abusive language, do not smoke and drink, and lead a good life. Why not base characters on such people? If media is a reflection of society, society is multiple reflection of media. Something bad happens in society and is shown in media in a glorified manner in detail, crores of people watch it and lakhs copy that bad in their lives. In this manner media multiplies the bad in society. Any bad incident should only be reported in news in short. No details should be given and no series / movies should be made on its details. Having huge influence on society, all media personnel should realise that they should show only righteous behaviour by all characters in their programmes to stop the spread of bad and to promote the spread of good in society. Media can play a very important role in shaping a good society for all. If media personnel do not take care of these things on their own, government should certainly step in and ban production, distribution and watching of all inappropriate content. more
yes these people should be hanged and we need to bring in a strong law which gives anti india nationalism gives them harshiest of punishment more
