Purchase of orthopaedic knee

If one has a knee replacement surgery, why are they forced to purchase the implant from the hospital. We should escalate this issue and get it fixed. more

Buying implant is not like buying grocery. Hospitals stick implants based in quality, price, reliability, supply etc. you are dealing with medicine and surgery. Trust your doctor and hospital or go find one whom you can trust. Yes the cost may be more but I would trust the surgeon and not order it from Amazon!! more
In this country everyone, right from top to bottom, is trying to find ways to make more money overnight. That is not a crime. But the way it is done here is Certainly CRIMINAL, by cheating common people. Same is the case with Hospitals, Medicine Suppliers and you name anyone, it will be almost impossible to prove/conclude that the person/establishment is honest. Hence, it is not possible to find way out, either way. more
There are serious issues in the flip side. When we buy something from shops or more scary online medicine nowadays who guarantees the genuineness, quality or sterilization certificate? In a country where we can't punish the family members for taking the patients to quacks, astrologers, so called alternative medicine experts and then finally land to a hospital just before his/her last breath and it doesn't take more than one hour for TV channel anchor, the same family members to conclude that the Doctor is the culprit who couldn't same the patient. Even for judges it takes much less to decide than punishing a rape/murder criminal in our country. In such a situation how can the purchase be left to patient party? Even buying fake medicine sold without a check in our country is the reason for death of thousands but could our banana law give serious punishment or death penalty to any of these criminals in 70 years? NO!! On the other hand much safer options like forced selling of books/articles by schools, food by cinema halls, sale of all types of blank forms and many such irregularities are still untouched. more
