Public opinion about Parliament!

I feel all sensible citizens of India realize the importance of the Indian Parliament and its sessions!

There is no question in anyone's mind, that our elected leaders, who are representing the 1.25 billion population of India, and, who have been elected to create a developed system of governance, to enable bring about an upward movement in the quality of life of the people of the country.

And, if they are not fulfilling their duty than they are at fault. Our chosen leaders who have been disrupting the parliament in the name of various non-issues, irrespective of their affiliation to any party, should be identified, should be put under notice, and if the ways are not mended, than should be removed from being a representative of his/her constituency. A re-election could be conducted at his cost, or the candidate who has secured the second position in the vote tally, should be nominated to LS.

India cannot afford another wasted session of parliament!

India cannot afford to wait for these irresponsible elected leaders to win in their nasty games, and make the nation a loser!

India's 1.25 billion people, cannot afford to continue living a day's life, less than what they deserve to live!

India cannot afford to lose out on the goodwill of the world that is rallying behind it now!

India cannot afford to not deliver, to its people, and to the world! more

Modi has already done his part by reaching out to congress. Now it is the turn of irresponsible congress to do its turn. Modi need not intervene every time some party irresponsibly prevent parliament from functioning for timid reasons. Congress has been in power for enough number of years to understand better behavior. more
We elect members of parliament and legislative assemblies to serve the country and its people and not to wind brownie points, secure their political careers, strength their parties or to line their pockets. A debate is welcome but disruption - No. Any one disrupting by shouting or walking into the well or behaving like a thug should be thrown out of the parliament/assembly. Any one damaging government property should be made to pay for its replacement. If they cannot behave in a civilised manner, they have no business to be there. They should be tried for breach of trust and locked up. more
This is payback. The Congress, when it was in power, couldn't do anything in the Lok Sabha because of the behaviour of BJP. BJP can not do anything in the Rajya Sabha because the Congress is doing the same thing. The public should demand that they stop behaving like spoilt brats and get on with the work they are paid (huge salaries) to do. more
MR MODI SHOULD SET ASIDE HIS EGO FIRST AND CALL OPPOSITION LEADERS TO FIND OUT THE WAY OF RUNNING SMOOTH FUNCTIONING OF HOUSE ASKING THEM WHAT PREVENTS THEM TO CLEAR THE PENDING BILLS IN LAST SEASON WE SAW MR MODI KEPT SILENCE DURING THE ISSUES RAISED BY OPPOSITION HE SHOULD HAVE INTERVENE IN THE MATTER BY CALLING ALL PARTY LEADERS TO SOLVE THE ISSUES RAISED BY THEM HE HAS TO TAKE INTO CONFIDENCE OF THESE LEADERS TO RUN HOUSE HE SHOULD SPEAK SOMETHING NOW AGAINST THE INCIDENTS IN THE COUNTRY AFTER THE LAST SEASON OF THE HOUSE ,EXPLAIN THE STAND OF THE GOVT BEFORE ALL PARTY LEADERS AND PUBLIC HE SHOULD APOLOGISE FOR NOT TAKING ANY STEPS FOR WRONG STATEMENTS WHICH HURTS THE SENTIMENT OF MANY PEOPLE ALL PARTY MEETING BE CALLED BY HIM IN PARLIAMENT OFFICE DISCUSS THE POINTS RAISED BY THEM AND FIND THE WAY OUT TO SMOOTH RUNNING OF HE HOUSE MAKE SOME CONSENSUS ON THE ISSUES TO BE RESOLVED BY HOUSE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION more
The opposition MPs should not simply create troble or oppose any bill because they do not belong to the ruling parties. They should behave responsibly should be accountable for their behaviour and performance. A mechanism should be involved to monitor and judge such MPs for their performance in parliament and the same should be intimated to their concerned constituencies after each session for further evaluation by the public. more
