Pollution

Hi, I am residing near Taloja Central Jail and is very much concerned with the pollution in this area. People at large are sick and I wonder how CIDCO housing scheme too can survive from this. The pollution is not just natural winter plollution, it is combination of Industrial Air pollution from Taloja MIDC as well as illegal Brick manufacturing work happening on very large scale next to Taloja Jail.

This is a huge challenge and that no one including political parties wants to get involved here due to local residents who are very few and handful. All hard working people residing in the buildings here are getting affected. The pollution in winter is till noon at times and one thinks twice before going out of house. I want my party to make a difference...... more

no doubt but where n where MPCB is active and till they reach it should permanent industrial unit where they can come n investigate but what about vehicles particularly public transport like rikshaws, taxi,s bullets and transport buses were throwing daily in air n now a days ready mix concrete plant, heavy trucks all this comes under RTO department they should have to be alert n there should one panel over them which keeps watch on their work n observation more
Amitji, good that you could succeed. My observation in TTC ind area is number of Chemical Companies don't have affluent treatment plant, Affluent accumulation pit. They just drain the effluent on road. No safety followed at all. Every thing is managed. For this reason a strict action is required on these industries. more
I suggest to take this issue with MPCB. You can get their mail ids on MPCB site. I have tried this and very promptly, MPCB authorities have taken cognizance and corrective action. Please try it out. more
As mentioned last time, it is also necessary to bring under control, the are TTC Induststrial Area from Navi Mumbai and Palghar District. TTC chemical zone is the worst and some of the Industry is not following the Rules, Law etc. Pollution control offices should be take seriously. Corruption movement also to be taken against this "lucrative department" also. more
