ODD/Even cars in Delhi
It is good idea to reduce pollution as well as traffic jams by running alternate days Odd/even cars. It can be better useful by considering following:
1) Before implementing this Govt. should ensure that there will be enough public transports for commuting not only in Delhi as well as NCRs like Gurgaon/Noida/Greater Noida/Ghaziabad etc., as many of them are working in NCRs where no good public transportation and people using their own cars to reach their offices on time.
2) Considering above point better if timings set as 8AM to 7PM so that NCR people have no much problem to reach their offices.
3) Generally people are already using car pool to go to NCR offices. In case all the pooling people have car of Odd or even numbers, they should be allowed to use any number car, if they are accompanying their 1 or 2 colleagues with them. Odd/even alternate days car running Restrictions to be imposed on those who are travelling alone or with driver.
4) Girls to be allowed if they are going in pool with their girl colleagues or friends. No single girl car to be allowed.
5) Sick/having Asthma or any problem or aged people are to be allowed to go by own car if they have valid medical certificate.
6) All loading Vehicles including Vikram to be probhited to run during day hours from 7 AM to 10 PM.
7) Odd/even car running formula to be implemented on commercial cars also, otherwise they will ask for high fare from people.
8) Need to restrict sale of cars (particularly Diesel). For this Loan facility to be removed or One family One car formula to be implemented. One family means (Husband & Wife or children). No children to be allowed to purchase car unless he gets married.
9) All vehicles of CNG fuel to be encouraged.
