OA

I am 66 years old.Have OA of both knees.Required to shed 10 kgs so as to manage my condition with out surgery.Suggestions to go about it more

While you follow the suggestions for relief in your Knee pain, I would like to suggest low carbohydrate diet to reduce your weight. Instead, take protein rich food. Avoid sugar, wheat and rice. Take fruits and vegetable, sprouted beans, pulses, etc. Monitor your weight every week and ensure that there is systematic reduction (up to 500 grams in a week is possible) of weight. Have regular exercise, like walking, etc. more  
FOR KNEE PAIN- APPLY/DROP HOT WATER FROM THIGHS TO FOOT. THAN APPLY 'MAHA NARAYAN OIL' DABUR/JHANDU OR ANY OTHER. SPECIALLY WHILE GOING TO BED. 90% CHANCES ARE YOU WILL BE ALRIGHT. MANY TIMES THE PAIN IN KNEES IS DUE TO PROBLEM IN NERVES. TRY THIS. more  
Mr Rangnathan,I am telling you simple self treatment which you can do your self ,after bath take few drops of TIL (Seasom Seeds) oil in your palm & apply on both knees simultaneously 7 to 14 times in clockwise direction & 7 to 14 times in anti clockwise direction,see that oils is absorbed in the knees. Do this process daily,though it will take some time for pain to subside but I am sure you will definitely get relief as it's a well tested formula for O.A. knees. more
