NDTV must also explain why it took an investment of $5M i.e. 32 crores from KJS Group in 2015 in its subsidiary Indian Roots. PK Ahluwalia is convicted in coal scam and the Chairman of the group KS Ahluwalia is also an accused in Coal Scam.
NDTV must clarify why it did not take this investment from regular venture investors and went to KJS Group and it was not a payback for a favour done by NDTV in past.
Nameh hotels which is also KJS group business 2 weeks ago bought the dying Indian roots from NDTV which could mean more payment for NDTV. more

Most of the media people exercise corrupt practices for increased TRP and more and more earning by artificially sensationalising their news. There are several instances where the media people resort to blackmailing common man to extract money. The owners of the channel must come forward and let the viewership know the reasons compelling them to borrow such huge amount and how the money was spent as also the circumstances for defaulting its repayment! more

It is common excuse in our country to shout, "Vendeta" when a corrupt exercise by politicians or other powerful persons is detected and criminal law proceedings duly initiated! Shameless men! what else? more

For too long cozy club corruption was going on unabated. Now the heat is on people are shouting from the roof top vendetta, witch-hunt, political slugfest etc. My only request to this Government that when you find something wrong it shall be completed fast and put people behind bars and do not use it as trump card. more

Most of the press & media are corrupt. Government must show an example of punishing NDTV for its corrupt practices and expose it to large extents , it will a lesson to other media channel. We fully support the government and Modiji for this initiative. more

We are bred in the culture of corruption post Independence. Everyone has become corrupt at one time or the other during the last 60 years. So this phenomenon is not new. One who gets caught gets the label, others are said to be non-corrupt. I recollect a fable. When a thief was caught and was to be flogged publicly, the crowd was given an opportunity to flog him, but with one condition. Only the person who did not commit a mistake(crime) would get his opportunity to flog the thief. In this, every person present flogged the thief. This shows that every person was dishonest to the core. This culture is the root cause of all ills in our society. Media is also a part of this culture. What is "Paid News" or a channel broadcasting paid news? It is like the media is made for the politician and vice-versa.What is TRP? It is nothing but indicating the level of corruption. Otherwise, why should a broadcaster require a TRP or talk of it? And who is to decide TRP? Similarly, you pay to get news or the channel pays you to get these bytes. NDTV is part of this media only. It is not an ALIEN. more
