Metering and Billing Problems with DHBVN and UHBVN

One of the issues regarding billing is that DHBVN generates bill once in two months. Rates for low consumption units are low while as your consumption goes up, rates are higher. So obviously, when bill comes in 2 months, units are bound to be high. Accordingly, per unit for higher consumption units is high. So we end up paying for the higher slabs all the time, thereby losing the benefit of lower unit rates. DHBVN must generate monthly bills. This way I think more consumers will pay their bills regularly, giving more revenue to DHBVN and also not add up their outstandings due to delayed payments. more

Mr Yogesh. I have gone into the details of bills generated by DHBVN. No. of units in each slab are changed proportionately depending on the days for which bill is raised. Hence, your statement that DHBVN charges higher rates does not stand. Example, normal rate slabs are for 30 days (printed on the backside of the bill). If the bill is for 60 days, the units in each slab is changed to double, etc.... more
ok, I stand corrected if that is so. more
This is done intentionally to extract more money from consumers to add up to the corruption by metering more by virtual / wrong electronic / smart meters . Need to be addressed. Regards On 30-Jul-2020 5:37 PM, "Yogesh Chandna" wrote: > more
Has any body tried the calculations. It is easy to blame the govt on any issue without seeing that we as a whole society are stealing taxes day in day out. No national character. Aware of our rights forgetting our duties. more
No, tariff slabs are made on monthly basis and bills are raised correctly. more
Absolutely true we should get monthly bill.. more
I do not know why you are being misleader on monthly/ bimonthly billing. more
